Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla is among today’s shooting stars on the classical music scene. In February of 2016, at just 30 years old, the Lithuanian-born woman was unanimously selected by the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO) to be its Music Director; succeeding Andris Nelson and Sir Simon Rattle.
